Pawlin ("we", "the app") analyzes pet photos to give you a Mood Score, pet body-language estimates, a care plan and an AI coach. This policy explains what we handle and how. We designed Pawlin to keep your data on your device and to never store your photos on our servers.
Who we share with: the only third party that receives your data is Anthropic, PBC (the company behind the Claude AI models), via its API.
What is shared: the scan photos you select and the profile details you enter (listed above), plus your coach chat messages — nothing else. Why: solely to generate your Mood Score, care plan and coach replies. We never sell your data and never share it for advertising.
In-app consent: the app asks for your explicit permission before your first analysis; nothing is sent to Anthropic until you agree. You can review this notice anytime in Settings.
Equal protection: Anthropic processes this data under its commercial API terms, which provide protections equivalent to this policy — inputs and outputs are not used to train their models and are handled under strict confidentiality and retention limits. See Anthropic's privacy policy at anthropic.com/legal/privacy.
To block abuse, the app may use Apple's App Attest and a per-install identifier used only for rate limiting — it does not identify you personally.
Pro subscriptions and one-time in-app purchases are handled by Apple. We never receive or store your payment details. Apple's processing is governed by Apple's privacy policy.
Our servers keep nothing after a request completes (the service is stateless). On your device, your data stays until you remove it: open Settings → Reset in the app to erase everything, or delete the app.
Pawlin is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
We may update this policy; the "Last updated" date above will change. Material changes will be reflected in the app.
